Good Food Thanks

• Karlene and Joseph Daniel, Nan's parents, have been faithful for years to be in charge of providing refreshments for the monthly meetings.
• Karlene makes delicious sandwiches and goodies.
• Other members have also brought goodies.
• We wish to thank everyone who brings refreshments for our meerings, especially Karlene and Joseph

Figs and Pigs

• Most of us can't afford a trip to the Pacific Islands. But Tina Simms, Claudia's mom, plans to bring the flavor of The Islands to us.
• She and some other volunteers will provide a Hawaiian Luau complete with leas, Island music, and special games
• Food will reflect the theme with fruit and rice dishes and other luau-type dished
• Volunteers are needed for this event

December Events

• NAMI Christmas Party - A wonderful time with delicious food that was enjoyed by all.
• New Hope Christmas Party - Enjoyed egg nog, sub sandwiches, brownies - all had a delightful time. The consumers exchanged presents.
• The consumers wish to thank all those who brought gifts and food to be enjoyed at Christmas.
• Super Bowl Party is scheduled for Feburary 4. Includes pizza.

Ongoing Events

Recycling Program

NAMI-Central Georgia has a recycling program. We accept the donation of aluminum cans and used printer cartridges. Please save your "throw-aways" and let us recycle them. It saves a little space in our landfills and allows NAMI-Central Georgia to benefit. Our "can pen" is at the entrance to NAMI-Central Georgia. Just drive by and drop in.

Computer Donation

We will gladly accept any donations of old or unwanted (working) computers for our computer lab.

Greenhouse

We'll gladly accept any donations of plants, cuttings, and containers. Any donations can be left ouside the gate if no-one is there.

Membership Drive

We are asking every member to please recruit and bring at least two new members during the next two months. The member recruiting the most new members (or bringing back a fallen-away member) by April 1, 2007 will receive a prize.
